The objective of these Teacher Training Courses is, on one side, share my experience teaching Spanish to GCSE students and, on the other side, provide some resources which have been successfully proved with these students at different levels.
Using the ideas taken from the Second Language Acquisition theories, we will reflect on specific parts of our practice and porpouse some potential strategies to implement in our lessons.

From 9am until 2.45pm
- 5-hours in-person workshop with questions & answers along the way.
​- Workshop and resources will be presented in Spanish by Óscar Martínez, native Spanish teacher with experience in Secondary Schools in the UK.
​- Specially aimed at NQTs, Spanish Teachers and Heads of MFL Department.
- Time for discussion in small groups - Maximum of 4 people per workshop.
- Refreshments during break and lunchtime included in the price.

Registration requirements
There is no official requirement to take part in this workshop. Everyone related to Spanish teaching is welcomed. In order to make the most of this training, it is desirable to have been involved in teaching Spanish at some level (or learning if you are a PGCE student) no matter whether in Schools, Colleges or privately.

9am - Session1 - Language Acquisition: Students & Teacher.

10am - Session2 - Curriculum design: Long term, lessons and activities.

11am - Break - Coffee, Tea & biscuits.

11.15am - Session3 - Grammar: sequencing and examples.

12.15pm - Session4 - Vocabulary: sequencing and examples.

1:15pm - Lunch time - Home-made sandwiches and snacks.

1.45pm - Session5 - 5-a-week: speaking activity with flash cards.

2.45pm - End of the workshop.
Accomodation
A small double room available for people wanted to stay. Please, ask for availability - 1 or 2 nights - £30/ night - Continental breakfast included.
